Bringing you back into balance.

James Zaluski.RMT

I began my professional career in 1992.  After graduating from Sutherland-Chan in Toronto, I came to Ottawa and spent my first year with the Carlingwood Health and Fitness Club and then moved on to spend ten years with the Rideau Chiropractic Clinic.  Beginning in 2005, I moved my practice to 470 MacLaren St.  My practice is now located in an old Victorian home, where I have created comfortable, professional environment.

Over the years I have received extensive training in many areas of massage therapy. I have studied:  Sports massage, Eslen deep tissue, NISA, manual lymph drainage, visceral manipulation, Canialsacral therapy, and joint mobilization techniques.

I have enjoyed working with variety of conditions people need help with. Whether you are young or old, professional athlete or office worker, injured or healthy, I will help you develop a massage therapy program that works for you.  Some people require very specific treatments for medical conditions, while others enjoy general treatments as part of their health care program.  I often combine an overall treatment with focused work on a client’s problem area.

My practice is designed mainly around structural work.  By working the soft tissue with direct techniques, my treatments are designed to  release restrictions, restore mobility, and improve function.  People usually require a combination of deep tissue techniques, traditional massage techniques, and joint mobilizations improve their conditions.  People have presented with variety of conditions, such as:  headaches and migraines, back pain, osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, injuries, pregnancy, tendonitis, posture problems, fibromyalgia, and many others.

In addition to massage therapy, I enjoy many sports, cottage life, woodworking, painting, and sculpting.  I am married to Donna Brown (internationally acclaimed soprano) and have two adult children.
