Head, neck and shoulders tension makes up a great deal of my work with clients.This often involves treating postural disfunctions, such as the most common 'head forward' posture we adopt while working at our computors.This can lead to muscle imbalances causing headaches, and pain and tension around our shoulders and neck.

 


 

 Treating upper traps and suboccipitals.

 

My treatment usually includes: deep tissue techniques and trigger point work for the affected muscles,  myofascial release and stretching for the tight and overworked muscles, and Swedish techniques to flush the muscles. I feel postural awareness exercises and stretching are key preventive measures to learn.
