 Sports massage has been proven to help athletes recover from vigorous workouts. It can also be used improve flexibility and store mobility to old injuries. I often combine deep tissue techniques with muscle stretching for on-going sports treatments. For post-event muscle soreness, athletes benefit more from deep swedish massage to flush the muscles. For old injuries, I find cross-fibre frictions are effective in making the scar tissue more pliable.
